{alltv} 'Bachelorette' sets premiere date, 'Bachelor' renewed for next season

Chemistry.com
We'll find out the identity of the next "Bachelorette" on Monday night (March 14), and we'll get to start watching her in a couple of months.

ABC has set a premiere date for the seventh edition of
"The Bachelorette": 9 p.m. ET Monday, May 23, following (presumably) the final performances on "Dancing With the Stars." It will then move to 8 p.m. Mondays starting May 30.

Meanwhile, EW
is reporting that ABC has also renewed "The Bachelor" for another season -- its 16th(!) -- in 2012. The move isn't much of a surprise; the current season is off quite a bit in the ratings compared to last year (which averaged 12.2 million viewers and a 4.4 rating among adults 18-49), but it's still pretty healthy. Heading into Monday's finale, the show is drawing 10.2 million viewers a week and a 3.4 demo rating.

You'll also see a second season of
"Bachelor Pad" in the summer, though a premiere date hasn't been set.
