James Blunt says he's playing the royal wedding

Mar 14, 2011

After all the speculation about Elton John and Paul McCartney comes news that James Blunt will be playing at the royal wedding.

The You're Beautiful singer said in an interview today that he won't be singing at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding on April 29, reports AFP out of Rome.

"I'm actually playing. I'm not singing, I'm playing the church organ there," Blunt told Italian news channel SkyTG24 during a concert tour stop there for the release of his third album, Some Kind of Trouble.

Blunt, who was born in England, was an officer in the British Army's Life Guards regiment and served under NATO in Kosovo in 1999.
