I'm Still Alive.........
Hey Everyone!!! I've missed you all SO much and want to send a personal THANK YOU for everyone who has visited my blog and signed up for my give-a-way!!! I'm SO thrilled to see so many have stopped by and visited with me.....I surely have some catching up to do myself with checking out blogs....Hopefully will get to do some of that tonight!!!!
I have been in the "Land of the Lost"....(remember that old old show from many many Saturdays ago!!) Our State (Kentucky) along with Indiana & Illinois was hit by a HORRIBLE freezing rain/ice/sleet/snow storm on Monday night, Tuesday & Wednesday of this week......It's the worse storm we've had since the late 70's around here and approx. 1/2 million homes among the 3 states were without power at one point......Our state (Kentucky) had to declare a state of emergency because of the ice on the trees and the damage that has been caused from it....We lost our power at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and STILL HAVE NO power!!! We found out today it could potentially be from 2 to 3 weeks before we get it back as they are having to totally rebuild the electrical system in the city of Henderson as well as many other counties in the State of Kentucky......If you would like to read about our little nightmare you can click on this link and it will connect you to our local paper.......

The long line you see of people waiting to get kerosene also hold my 2 boys to the back of the line patiently (yeah right!!) waiting for their chance to fill up 2 jugs with kerosene for the heater we had at home......that was MUCH needed the 1st & 2nd night as NO ONE had power and we were all fighting to stay warm.....we ALMOST lost our kitty 2 times as she almost froze to death....in our home......I was very scared but between hubby and I we rubbed on her under our blankets for 15 minutes or so to get her blood flowing again and she was fine....when the boys went to check on the doggie and her later the 3rd day until we were able to get them moved our kitty was almost gone again......bless her heart!
THANKFULLY my aunt & uncle got their power back yesterday morning so we've been able to stay warm since then......I am SO blessed and thankful for this!!!!! You never seem to truly appreciate heat until you don't have it!!!! :(
So we will muttle through as best we can.......however I am so sad to say I won't be able to create much until we get power back.....PLEASE don't forget about me...and do check back......I will be back to creating as soon as I possibly can!!! Detective branch of police yesterday traced out the head of Asgar whose body in fourteen pieces was recovered from Lalbagh area in Dhaka city on Thursday.
Police suspect that alleged love affair of the deceased Asgar with Polly, wife of Zahirul Islam Zahir , who is now in police custody , led to his murder.
However,Nazimuddin Badsha, brother of victim Zahir, claimed that Asgar had a quarrel with Zahir on Wednesday morning in connection with his deceased's cable business.
The bare pieces of the body were recovered by the police from a two- square kilometre area of Lalbagh.
Zahirul Islam Zahir engineered the plot to kill Asgar for his alleged involvement in love affair with Polly.
Zahir reportedly confessed to the killing of Asgar in his ( Zahir) own house at Lalbagh which is approximately half kilometer away from that of Asgar.
Zahir and deceased Asgar were close friends, police said.
Zahir narrated the gruesome murder of Asgar when he was produced before a team of reporters at the DB headquarters at Minto Road in the capital yesterday.
Zahir told reporters that on the fateful night of Wednesday Asgar and he were watching TV in a room of his house. His wife Polly was away from the house on that night, he said. Around 10:00 pm Rubel and Mohsin, two persons of dubious credentials of the locality, came to the room.Soon after Zahir left the room.As soon as Zahir left the room, notorious Rubel and Mohsin caught Zahir and strangled him with urna.
When the two killers confirmed that Asgar is dead, they took his body to the bath room and cut it into 250 pieces throughout the whole night.Afterwards, the pieces were put into fourteen poly bags.Zahir returned to his house when
Rubel and Mohsin were cutting the body Asgar into pieces, according to the confessional statement of Zahir.
In the early morning of Thursday, Zahir, Rubel and Mohsin dumped the Pieces of the Asgar's body into several dustbins at different places of Lalbagh area.
Hearing about the recovery of a few pieces of a body Badsha had a look at the pieces and identified them to be his brother's. He later went to Sir Salimullah Medical College Morgue to see the other pieces and became sure that his brother was brutally killed.
Police recorded a murder case early yesterday.
Asgar's wife Eva, who is pregnant, fell sick on hearing the news of her husband's murder. Later she was admitted to a local clinic. Asgar and Eva have a five-year-old boy.
Deputy commissioner of DB Auladah Hossain told the New Nation that Zahir was known as criminal. His relations with his wife Polly since were strained since their marriage 11 years ago.
Five years ago, businessman Shamsul Haque and his son Russel's body were found dismembered in a similar way. Allegedly, a local BNP leader and criminal Kajol of Patuatuli in Old Dhaka murdered them.

My friend Chris told me recently he and his son had lived in a tree house in Africa for a few months. I was green of envy, and so I made him a little drawing of me in my own little tree house:
Chris said my tree house looked lovely, and could he please come and visit. I said I could do better than that - I could make us neighbours!

pure bliss
Yesterday I spent the whole afternoon/evening at one of the oldest Spas in Stockholm: Centralbadet.
I had a sauna, flopped in the jaccuzi and had a little swim. Then it was time for a 90 minutes long hot stone massage.
It's hard to describe the feeling of being massaged by boiling hot lava stones - it is somewhat too hot, too hard but just amazingly nice and relaxing at the same time. I love it.Then I took the train home. My hair was still full of massage oil and I felt half asleep. Once back in my flat I jumped straight into my pyjamas.
This morning I woke up and felt like a brand new person. I had slept like a baby for a good 9 hours straight. Why don't I pamper myself more often?!
