Britney 'not fit' for probate trial

Troubled pop star Britney Spears is not yet fit to participate in court proceedings in her power-of-attorney case, her lawyer told a superior court commissioner.

Samuel Ingham, Spears' court-appointed lawyer, and lawyers for her father and conservator, James Spears, spent 90 minutes in Los Angeles commissioner Reva Goetz's chambers.

Mr Ingham told the court afterwards that Spears' medical condition was "fluid" because her treatment was changing.

Spears' probate case is due to go to trial on July 31, but Mr Ingham said it could be "harmful" for her to participate.

Ms Goetz agreed and said Spears' diagnosis was not complete.

The 26-year-old singer and her estate have been under the conservatorship of her father for four months.

The arbour argument

My father is feeling old.
As I spent last weekend at his place, the sun was shining and we were both pottering about in his garden.
"The damn arbour is going for sure" he muttered as we walked around the house.

My heart nearly stopped. I love that arbour. It's what makes his garden sooo special. I remember playing inside it as a kid, having picnic inside it as a wannabe adult and snogging my ex fiancée inside it on our first visit to Sweden.

"I can't believe you're saying that" I stuttered highly upset and slowly turning into a stubborn teenager which sometimes happens when talking to my dad. "I love it! It's over a hundred years old! How can you be so stupid?" I screamed, pedagogically...

"I'm close to 70 years old" he answered matter-of-factly and rather pissed off. "The arbour needs cutting at least 3 times a year to stay nice, and it's really hard work as the branches are so thick".

My heart sank. My beloved arbour that my great grandfather planted. My father siezed the moment:

"let's make a deal" he suggested, " you look after it, cut it and so forth and I promise I won't remove it".

Yep, you've guessed it already I'm sure. I agreed... So it looks like I'll be travelling to Lapland 3 times a year to trim a god damn hedge. That's how it goes when you listen to your heart, I guess.

Kim Kardashian Says She's Pregnant At Her White Party

Kim Kardashian hosted her own White Party in the Hamptons last night with boyfriend Reggie Bush, and told reporters, "I'm about two months pregnant right now and we're getting married on August 8th of 2008." Obviously she was kidding, but she scared Reggie there for a second!

The couple hosted the soiree at The White House in the Hamptons, and that was a first for Kim, who said she had never partied out there before. She's giving Diddy a little competition! His infamous bash comes at the end of summer on Labor Day.

Keira Knightley's funny seduction

Keira Knightley says the best way to get her into bed is to make her laugh.

The actress - who stars in upcoming movie 'The Edge of Love', which is about Welsh poet Dylan Thomas - finds a good sense of humour very attractive in a man.

She said: "I think people get laughed into bed, don't they?"

Although Keira doesn't think the late Dylan Thomas was a good looking man, she can understand why women were attracted to him because of his wonderful poetry.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actress - who stars opposite Matthew Rhys, who portrays Dylan, in the movie - explained to Total Film magazine: "Dylan Thomas did s**g around but you look at pictures of him and he was no hunk. However, his poetry is extraordinary. He's a mischief-maker, a puck. He just wants to prod and see what happens.

"There is a spirit and a sexiness to Matthew Rhys' Dylan that's quite dangerous because you know he's a s**t. But that doesn't mean he's not attractive. Do you think only nice blokes get girls into bed?"

sound vs. noise

I dont think theres anybody out there who is as fixated about sounds as I am. A good tune can (and quite often does) make me cry or laugh out loud. A strange noise outside my window will have me intrigued until I uncover its origin. I love to listen to sounds in the forest and have to have music surround me most of my time. Music is the heart of my life, as corny as it may sound.

But then theres the kind of noise that I loathe. And those kind of noises will consume me even more than pleasant sounds do. My downstairs neighbour is an alcoholic. I see no reason to get worked up about it as some of my elderly neighbours do. But then, in the middle of the night, he brings his friends home from the park (where they usually hang out, drinking homemade vodka). They talk loud. I start to twitch. They put the music on. I get my earplugs. They start to sing along to some tacky Swedish pop tune and I am livid. I hate him. I lie in my bed and wish I was a bloke so I could go down and piss through his letterbox.

I think about phoning the police, and then hate myself being so petty.

what would I want someone to do if I had a noisy party? I think to myself, the damaged daughter of a psychiatrist I am.

oh, of course I will go downstairs and knock on his door and politely ask him to turn his noise down.

I get out of my warm bed, get dressed and wander downstairs. Knock on his door. Knock again. And again. No one gives a fuck. I hate him. I hate his screechy doorbell and I hate his stupid stereo with his knackered speakers. I hate his arrogance and most of all I hate being the kind of person who had to get out of bed to knock on his door.

Finally the music and out-of-tune-sing-along stops. I get back into bed. Five minutes later theres loud banging in my ceiling:

thump-thump-thump paws-paws-paws thump-thump-thump paws-paws-paws

The upstairs neighbour has a gorgeous Labrador who enjoys playing with his tennis ball in the middle of the night. Now how come that noise makes me smile?

Pamela Anderson’s Mystery Man

She’s had a pretty rough time with romance, having been divorced three times from ex-husbands Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, and Rick Salomon. But Pamela Anderson isn’t giving up on love.

The former Baywatch babe was spotted out and about in Malibu, California yesterday enjoying the company of a mystery man. And they were looking mighty friendly together!

Pammie took her gentleman caller on a romantic stroll around her gated community before taking him back to her house. Both of them looked comfy in their workout gear as they made the most of the beautiful weather.

On a related note, it sounds like Miss Anderson’s assets are getting other people in trouble. At least, that’s the case for a 32-year-old woman who was just convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17.

Apparently, the whole thing started back in January 2007 when Courtney Isabella Bailey substituted a picture of Pamela Anderson’s breasts for her own in a text message conversation with her 15-year-old co-worker. The two ended up hooking up, with charges being filed later.

Jessica Alba 'quietly' marries boyfriend

Actress Jessica Alba, who is pregnant with her first child, has married long-time boyfriend Cash Warren.

Alba, 27, best-known for her roles in the TV drama Dark Angel and the movie Fantastic Four, announced she was engaged late last year. The baby is expected in the summer.

According to People magazine, who spoke with her PR, Brad Cafarelli: "The couple quietly wed (on) Monday."

Her wedding was such a quiet affair that even her brother, Josh Alba, was apparently caught off-guard.

When reached by US Weekly magazine with the news, he responded: "My sister!? I'm going to have to call her!"

The actress met Cash, 31, a producer, on the set of the first Fantastic Four in 2004. After a temporary split last summer, the two reconciled and announced the impending birth of their child in December, and their engagement shortly thereafter.

"Being pregnant is kind of like a sedative," Alba has said.

"I don't get as anxious about things. Like right now, a movie coming out, you know, over analyzing everything."

The news follows endless speculation on whether or not the couple would marry, with US Magazine previously reporting that Alba had no intention of walking down the aisle with a baby bump.

Previous reports claimed that one of the reasons Alba and Warren broke up in the first place was because he didn't want to marry and "wasn't ready."

Kim posted these photos in her blog when they were in Miami a few months back with her sister. Are those things for real? I mean celebrities nowadays are into surgeries, I doubt Kim Kardashian never went into any operations with her breasts. I’m assuming that Kim had her breasts enlarged to please all male entities and all her fanatics. Although I definitely love to see Kim Kardashian wearing only a bikini cause it releases the manhood in me. You can never resist a girl as sexy and beautiful as Kim Kardashian. Even though Kim has been through a lot of cosmetic surgery enhancements, she is still one of the hottest Hollywood babes I know that’s too sexy and too hot to handle. But I don’t like the idea that they are best friends with the heiress, I guess part of being a celebrity, one should exchange plastic faces with each other while on public just to be popular. Thank God I’m no celebrity cause girls might stalk me day and night. And I don’t want that to happen cause I’m a one-woman man and I don’t know how to deal with issues concerning girl fights.

Christina Aguilera: breast-feeding is my secret workout

Christina Aguilera has attributed her curvy post-pregnancy body almost entirely to breast-feeding.

Since giving birth to son Max in January, the singer has lost a lot of her general baby weight but is keen to show off her enlarged boobs - because they’re responsible for the weight loss elsewhere.

She explained recently: “Breast-feeding is my secret workout.

“It can take a lot out of you, so the pounds tend to fall off.”

My initial idea for this piece was a dark-ish little girl with a pet creature that she "dolls up" in the way that normal girls might dress up a cat or a puppy.

In a recent red carpet interview with The Sun, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere put Angelina Jolie at the top of the list for actresses she’d be happy to “have an affair with.”

Guys: Wait!! Don’t leave yet! The story’s not over!

After being asked about recent speculation regarding her sexual orientation, Panettiere told the interviewer, “that's fine with me. If I'm going to be linked with someone, I could do an affair with Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba or Charlize Theron” adding, “and Kate Beckinsale is gorgeous…there are so many beautiful girls.”

In a clear case of journalistic listlessness, the Sun reporter failed to follow up by asking if Hayden Panettiere would wear her Heroes cheerleader outfit for such a liaison.

Seriously, at least open another window if you have to. Don’t leave!

The diminutive actress, who turned 18 last August (but can easily pass for 16) and is currently dating “Heroes” co-star Milo Ventimiglia, is only the most recent in a long line of female celebs confessing to having a crush on Angelina Jolie.

I'm happy that I can finally share this with everyone, a different job from me . . . this was actually a collaboration of a few artists. I worked with the animation company Nathan Love who have done some amazing commercials, very talented guys. They created a baby-like cupid with no hair or wings and the gun, it was handed to me as a pencil drawing. Another artist painted the background. This was an interesting job because I didn't do any drawing besides the hair and wings . . . my part in this was to paint the cupid and gun so that it felt like and old "Victorian" painting . . . this was a challenging job and was a lot of fun doing something different!

The final billboard hangs in a train station somewhere in Switzerland, 30ft x 100ft . . . . crazy!

The 19-year-old aspiring star - the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore - has reportedly caught the interest of music executives with her "deep, husky voice".

A source said: "She can definitely hold a good tune - keep in mind her mother, Demi, has a sultry, raspy voice, and Bruce likens himself as being a blues artist.

"With the right production and material, she could put out something solid and already people are talking."

Rumer recently insisted she landed a role in upcoming film 'Wild Cherry' without any help from her A-list parents.
