The first one is my Rolodex Swap - We are creating a Rolodex of our personal information for everyone in the swap...meaning we have 16 participants so I had to create 16 of these Rolodex cards.....so obviously there was alot of repetition.......I wanted it to go as smoothly as I could so my AWESOME Cricut came in QUITE handy!!!!
I used my Rolodex File I had created, my PDC 6 Petal 3 nobes I had made months ago.......I created a new PDC Heartish Leaf for this design......all of which images are attached below and links to my website page where they can be found........I even utilized my Cricut to PRINT & CUT OUT my image...ie...my picture and the personal information....The technique I shared in a tutorial a couple weeks back....WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!!! I had heard several comments that the quality of the print from with Inkscape isn't supposed to be good....WELL, I beg to differ......you still have the same properties to work from through ANY program you use for the printer controls....I use a color laser printer and it prints ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL through the Inkscape program.....then it's SO easy peasy to cut because I can make a pattern for it to cut and WHOLA....no more scissors!!!! If you're interested in watching My TUTORIAL you can see it here ....the name of it is:
PDC Inkscape Tutorial on Cutting Image out with Sure Cuts Alot and your Cricut 9 28 2009
It's the first tutorial on the right column!!
The next creation I worked on was the Playing Card Swap - Ace of Hearts......YEP YEP YEP I utilized my Cricut AGAIN!!! LOL I drew out my playing card shape the imported in one of my heart designs FLRSHHRT I had created a month or so ago........I used some of the GORGEOUS K&C papers I had purchased about a week ago......some unmounted rubber stamps...which I LOVE again since I got these awesome new "Rock-A-Blocks" that my sweet sweet friend Carol Parks turned me onto about a week ago...You get an AWESOME impression each time you use these because they are contoured just enough that you "roll" your image on and it's wonderful....You ought to check them out!!!!! I purchased mine from www.cutterscreek.com and received fantastic service from them!!!! I'm attaching an image of the cut file I made of the heart cut file....If you interested in that file you may click the image and it will take you to the page on my website where you'll be able to find it!!!!!
Then yesterday I noticed a request for a Snow Globe Cut file so while at worked I created this one!!! Thought I would share it here if anyone is interested in it as well......As always, just click the image and it will take you to the page on my website...
