A Couple more Techniques.....

Good Afternoon Everyone.....I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!!!  I've made myself stay away from the computer this morning to get some things accomplished in my ARTHaven!!!!  But now I get to share with you!!!!!  I have a very dear cyber friend who lost her husband this week and my heart is ABSOLUTELY breaking for her!!!!!  So I decided I wanted to create a card for her to get in the mail tomorrow........I'm going to show you the card now....but I hope you will read on through the remainder of my post because I'm showing you some techniques of items I created to incorporate into the card...as well as I designed and created a new cut file and used one of my flower cut files I designed and created several months back.......

Of course, if you're interested you may get both of these files which will be shared below by clicking on the image of them.....it will take you to the page on MY Website where you can get them!!!  Ok, so here we go......

On this card I incorporated some of the "color dots" I created last night from glue sticks!!!!  Yep that's right....we've been discussing that some on one of my groups and I have used the technique before in some of the scrapbook pages I did several months back but I decided to make some more....this time I used colored glue sticks..........All you need to do is let your glue gun get very hot.......put your glue stick in and start making "droplets" of glue......don't worry about the string......it will blend in as it cools....I just make a droplet and swirl the glue gun to break the string.......continue on through the glue stick.....then I continue to add glue sticks even different colors.......they come out SO cool!!! I'm showing you them below!!!

Aren't they YUMMY!!!!  And easy peasy to make....if you have the Ranger Craft Mat it makes it even easier!!!!

Then I also used some of the "foam sheets" I had made........I'm showing you a step by step tutorial with photos below on how I created them............

Once dried I put one side on some freezer paper.....(the kind that has a slick surface) then turn the foam over and to the same technique on the other side....once that side is dry I also cover with a piece of freezer paper.....(again, on the slick side to the foam).....then you can either use your  Crop-a-Dial or a hole punch or a perforated blade.....I chose to use the perforated blade on mine...it was a GREAT tip from one of the ladies on the SCALhints yahoo group I own.......I used these foam square to adhere the flowers above to my card front.........And I also used the "sticky dots" that I did the tutorial on the other day to stick my "color dots" to my flowers.....It's SUCH an awesome feeling to know I can create scrap supplies at a very minimal cost to use in my creations!!!!!  LOVE IT!!!!

Here's the corner file I made.....I made this so that you can theoretically re-use a hand made card if you choose by simply removing the sentiment inner paper and replacing it with a new piece of paper with the new sentiment on it.......Pretty clever huh!!!!!!  That way all your wonderful LOVE and PASSION that goes into your ART isn't done once the envelope is opened!!!

And here's the flower file I designed and created months ago.......I love these flower files becuase I can resize them to be anysize I need and cane use them over and over and over........

So, now you can see how completely personalized the card I showed you above is....it is truly one of a kind....I'm very happy with the way it turned out and pray the recipient knows I truly did put alot of love and prayers into this card!!!!!  Don't forget if you would like to have the corner file or flower file you can click the images and they will take you to the pages on my website where you may download the svg file for free...the other formats are available for a small fee.....

I THANK YOU as always for coming by to visit with me!!!!  Totally makes my day!!!  I hope you enjoyed the card and the techniques...I would love to hear your thoughts!! I pray you all have a very blessed afternoon....Please come by again!!! Until next time....
