Hey Everyone……It feels like it’s been FOREVER since I updated my blog……I decided I needed to chain myself to my ARTHaven this past weekend to create some items I had deadlines for……I must say I had ALOT of fun playing….but WHAAAAOOOZZAAAA…..was it time consuming (Due to this being a VERY LONG Post….I won’t go into great detail to all I did…BUT…if any of you have any questions to what I’ve done…please feel free to email me at pennyduncan@att.net ….the first thing I needed to work on were some birthday cards I had orders for…….the first one is for my future granddaughter……..She’s such a sweetie and I wanted to make her something fun…..I tried my hand at embossing on cardstock with my Cri-kit Embossing Tool and my Cricut……..I will say the impression is not as deep….but i still like the affect….I used my TH Distress inks to highlight the embossing and of course…used LOTS of my handmade flowers…the roses are my favorites….and if you’ve not yet seen my tutorial on creating the roses and or gotten the cut file for them…you can find them HERE……..So here it is…..

So……..I have that card completed…..I had an order for an 85th Birthday card based on the Love Endures card I shared with you last week……..I had to use Brass this time instead of copper so the look is a wee bit different….but I still am very happy with the way this turned out….I also made a box for the card to go into so the flowers didn’t get smooshed…….so if you want to see this one….here you go…..
Now because I had to modify the phrase I decided to save the file with no wording in the middle and thought I would share this Embossing file with you here if you might be interested in it……..
Then…….the next card I needed to create was a birthday card for a young teen………I had a total blank on this when I started but then I found one of my Precious Moments images that I would be perfect and as I was coloring her ideas just started flowing……..and below is what I came up with….I also made a box for this card as well as it is very thick…but I do SO love how it turned out……..
I did create a new vine type file for this card and I did use some of my Shaplies (which if you’ve not seen my tutorial on them…you can find it HERE……I sure do love those puppies!!!! I used my Cri-kit Pens as well to do the talk bubble and the phrase on the inside of the cad…. Also I made some more of my roses….You can find the tutorial and the file for them HERE ;) I hope you think this card is a cute as I do…..

Ok…..Now on to the project that took me a LONG LONG LONG time!!! ;) It was for a swap in the All Things Tim Yahoo Group (ATT)….It’s a Halloween theme Pennant swap…you can create whatever you desire you just must incorporate “something” of Tim…….after all…it is a group named for him!!! ;) Well for this design I created I did MOST ALL hand made items….so I did use the pin tag holder and it worked out PERFECTLY I think…..so here’s what I made……
You’ll notice the spider looks fuzzy!!!! I took some glossy accents and coated the top piece and used flocking
I had to make a total of 10 to send out and I made an extra just so I could be sure to have one to keep!!!! I must say I’m quite proud of the way these turned out…..as I created my spooky spider, the roses (which….if you’ve not seen my tutorial on the roses and gotten the file for it…..you can find it HERE), the spider web and the goo border from scratch……of course the piece with the Happy Halloween on I used one of my Shaplies….and drew the Happy Halloween with my Cri-Kit Pens…..LOVE these things!!!! So….if any of you might be interested in the Halloween files I created I’m sharing them below…maybe some might enjoy them….

Ok…..WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW…..LOL That was ALOT wasn’t it!!!! Sure hope you’ve not given up on me yet!!! I do have just a few more files to share….these are some I’ve been working on for a while….I also have more I’m going to do…but before I forgot about these I thought I would go ahead and share them…..they are Pop Up Card Inserts…..perhaps you like them?????
