Good Morning Everyone….I’m SO SO SO EXCITED about today!!! It’s the FIRST DAY of a month long blog hop were ARTists help to promote MTC (Make The Cut!) and the AMAZING program that it is!!!!! I’m TOTALLY honored and THRILLED to have the opportunity of being the FIRST Hopper!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ME!!
The purpose of this month long blog hop is to bring attention to the AMAZING program out there you can use with a HUGE variety of cutting machines….the program is…. Make The Cut! (MTC)…..
This is a FANTASTIC program that is SO VERY user friendly!!!! Check out the list of cutters it works with…….and they are ALWAYS willing to add new cutters to the program if the cutter companies are supportive of it!!!!
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Black Cat Cougar and Lynx
- Boss Kut Gazelle
- USCutters MH/LaserPoint Series
- Craftwell eCraft
- Wishblade
- Craft Robo
- Silhouette
- Roland SX15, and GX500
- Pazzles
- PCUT
- KNK Maxx
- CutOk
- Any cutter that uses HPGL printer drivers
So…….Wanna see what I created using my Black Cat LYNX Cutter AND Make The Cut! (MTC)???????
I know I’m sharing A LOT of pictures for this book….but I wanted to be sure and show as much as I can for this project I made……It was SO MUCH FUN creating this…..I used SEVERAL techniques and between my LYNX and MTC it was SO EASY to create it!!!!!
I knew I wanted to create a word book…..I had recently gotten some AMAZING AMAZING supplies from Tyler at AllThatJazzSupplies.com and knew I wanted to incorporate as many of them into my project as I could…….so I thought I would try to explain the items I used from his store…..
On the first page I used some Engraving Metal from Tyler’s store……and to engrave it I used my Engraving tip/holder from thatsscrapinc.com It is SUCH A COOL tool!!!!! Once I engraved it I then used some gold rub n’ buff to bring out the engraving a bit more….Didn’t it do an AWESOME job!!!!!
I of course used decorative paper but for the base of the book and the layer of the letters I used some AMAZING .022 Chipboard which I also got from Tyler’s Store…..It TRULY cuts like butter……..for the base of the book I cut 2 layers of the chipboard and used YES paste to glue them together…it worked WONDERFULLY!!!!!! I cut one layer thick for the letters….cause I wanted to raise them up off the book and wanted them to have durability….worked perfectly!!!!
Of course I used my Lynx and MTC to cut out my PDC Rose file to create my roses that I added to this project…….Notice the dragonflys…aren’t they CUTE….Well I just have to share with you my very very good friend Celeste Lombas did a tutorial the other day sharing how she creates them……You can find her tutorial on her blog here….. Touched By A Butterfly I fell in love with this idea so had to make some for this project!!!!
On the R Page of the book you’ll notice some Copper Metal…..this is such a fun item to use…this is a very thin metal that has a glue back that you can use an iron to glue the sheet to your project to adhere it…I actually used foam squares to attach this but I could have ironed it on if I would have wanted to….But I also got this metal from AllThatJazzSupplies.com….I used my Embossing Tip/Holder with my Lynx and it did an AWESOME AWESOME job!!!
Also I wanted to mention….you’ll notice the frame that I etched onto the metal on the A page and the frame I embossed on the Copper ….were frames I downloaded from Monica’s website she so lovingly shares….This is a VERY talented ARTist…I LOVE using her creations!!!!
Then on the last page I used some VINYL!!! It was SO MUCH FUN cutting this design to use as a border!!!! The vinyl I also got from AllThatJazzSupplies.com also and it’s GREAT quality vinyl……..I LOVE using vinyl in my ART…….I’m envisioning using lots and lots more vinyl in the future….just think….you know those vinyl stickers that you buy from the scrapbook stores….well, we can make our own with our cutters and MTC and personalize them for whatever need we have…….Once I adhered my vinyl border on my page I then used my heat set rhinestones to it and used my multi purpose heat tool to set them…worked PERFECTLY!!!!
I REALLY had a lot of fun creating this project……And it was SO easy using my best friend…”Sable”…(My Black Cat Lynx Cutter) and Make The Cut! (MTC)….I Thought I would go ahead and share with you the poem I wrote and the ART book file below in case any of you might be interested in it…….

Ok….Now for my Blog Give-A-Way………I hope some of you might find it interesting…..remember the piece I created for myself the other day?????? Here’s a reminder…..
If you would like the opportunity to possibly win a One of a Kind creation by myself….Penny Duncan…having a personalized framed piece done for YOUR ARTHaven…….If it’s something you think you “might” be interested in???? Then please just do this simple thing…..leave me some blog love and consider following my blog………At the end of May…when the blog hop ends….I’ll select 1 lucky winner to create a One of a Kind piece of ART for which will be personalized to your favorite colors and name…….I PRAY you all don’t think I’m tooting my own horn…..I just have received such AWESOME feedback from it I thought perhaps someone might enjoy receiving a piece of ART for THEIR ARTHaven….
So….IF you’ve stuck with me through this VERY LONG POST….LOL…THANK YOU!!!! Don’t forget the purpose for this blog hop!!!! To PROMOTE MTC (Make The Cut!)…………
