THANKS!!!

For ALL the wonderful comments both private and public that I have received on my Tags!!! The recipient of them was thrilled with the results.....I received an inquiry from my Friend Elena as to what a CE was and how I did my tag...

First I'll start off with explaining the CE is a Cricut Expression...this is a machine that cuts things!!! It is SO AMAZING!!! I received this as an early Christmas present from hubby and I am SO happy with it.......I have software that allows me to use any font or any image to cut out shapes to help in my ART creations....Check out the item at www.cricutexpression.com

Now, the 2nd part of the question was how I created the tags.....first I realized I did not have the size tags I needed so I decided to just make my own...So I cut cardstock to the size tag I wanted and cut round circles to create the protection around the area I would punch my hold to run fibers through.....

Then I did DTP of Distress Inks in "Vintage Photo" and "Peeled Paint" once card was covered then I took a baby wipe and rubbed all over the face of the card to blend the two colors together over the card. Then I took one of the Tim Holt's overlays and stippled on some Distress Ink "Aged Mahogany" to give it a bit of pattern...then I took two different colors of my Pearl Ex Misters "Spring Green" and "Super Russet" once dried it gave the tags and awesome glimer...

Once the tags were dried I then wiped the edges with some Tim Holt's Distress Embossing Ink then covered the edges with Distress Embossing Powder "Vintage Photo" ...kinda makes the tag look rusty......Ok, then I attached to two pieces of ribbon/lace....at this point I attached the tag to a cardboard base to give the card more substance...punched the hole for the fibers......and also stamped the "Merry Christmas" message with Distress Ink "Black Soot".

Now onto the images I had previoulsy taken graphics of Santa and Snowman and coverted them into a format I need for my cricut expression.......then decided on the size I wanted the image be....and decided on all the different colors I wanted the layers....then proceeded to cut out the images as many times as there are colors I wanted to use......once cut I pulled off the cutting mat and then began to embellish them...some I versamarked and used Pearlex powders with and then ran through my cuttlebug embossing sleeves.....some I covered with an embossing pen and then coated with colored embossing powder and embossed with my heat gun.....some I coated through my xyron then covered in glitter.....first I had to assemble the pieces then began the embellishment process......

I hope that helps explain how I made these......If not PLEASE feel free to ask, I would be more than happy to share with you my techniques!!!! Thank you for stopping by to inquire!!! I'm excited I get to play with paper this weekend!!! Until next time....
