I’m LOVIN’ MY MTC & Amy Chomas Sharpie Holders!!!!!

Hey Everyone….I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend…….It has flown for me but I have had some fun playing!!!!!  I combined a few things I needed to accomplish together to be as productive as possible…..
I have been SO HONORED to be asked by Amy Chomas www.chomascreations.com to use her Sharpie Holders…both the Ultra Fine and the Fine…….


And use them in my ART to display a way for them to be used……So I happily took her up on the challenge…as I’ve owned them for over a year and had yet to really use them……it was FUN to come up with something……
I am SO HOOKED  on Make The Cut……this is one FANTASTIC PROGRAM!!!!  I’m using the Beta 3.0 and it ROCKS!!!!  This is going to become the rage…I really really believe this!!!
So I decided FIRST to use on of the new files I had made and create a tag for a swap in my ARTHaven group I needed to make…….So I used the Fine Sharpie Holder to trace out this frame first….to help to give the paper a bit of an “aged” look…….then I added color and such from there…..I started this frame with reglar white cardstock……




Doesn’t it highlight the edges around the frame and cutouts quite nicely……and made it much easier then doing it by hand……I then colored the rest with some of my Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads coated with Perfect Medium…coated with ultra fine embossing powder then coated again with Perfect Medium and coated with UTEE so it gives it a very glossy look…..I think it makes the black details really pop out!!!

So…..that was the first thing I created using the Sharpie Holders….Then I needed to create a Christmas Gift Bag……but I didn’t wanted it to be just a bag decorated….so I got the thought of making a Bag “skirt”……I LOVE the way this turned out and I SO hope you will too……







Isn’t this COOL!!!!!!  I absolutely LOVE how this turned out….I created a “skirt” file and then Imported the SVG file into MTC 3.0 Beta…..I then created the “frame” for the “Skirt” and LOVE it….I used the Sharpie Holders the Ultra Fine Sharpie…..then once it was drawn I used a metallic yellow pen and colored in the spaces of the frame….I used a Christmas style scrapbook paper by K&Company…(LOVE them)…….so after I drew the “frame” I colored the leaves….colored the swirley part of the frame with the yellow metallic pen and then added red dots…..I also drew the “Merry Christmas” on the back with the Ultra Fine Sharpie with the Sharpie Holders then colored in with Glitter Red Gel Pens…….It looks GREAT in person…it just sparkles……Of course you know I’m using my Poinsetta flowers!!!
Don’t you think the Sharpie Holders and Ultra Fine Sharpie made an AWESOME affect on this!!!! I LOVE it….and I hope the recipient of this bag enjoys it…..What a FUN way to decorate a bag and it can actually be re-used as it simply slides over the handles of the bag…….So if you think you might be interested in the bag “skirt” or the Merry Christmas “skirt…you can find them below…..

Ok……Now….while creating this next project I used this to created a couple of tutorials of how I did these….this is the card I made……..

In creating this card I again used Amy Chamos Sharpie Holders and the Ultra Fine Sharpie……I used it to write out the “Merry Christmas” on the card……then once it was drawn I colored it with a pearlized metallic gel pen….LOVE the way this turned out….once it dried I took a Perfect Medium pen with a bullet tip and went over the letters…then coated with Ultra Fine Embossing Powder and heat embossed…..Looks REALLY Cool!!!!  For the rest of the details of this I’m going to share with you a tutorial I created on this for the Print & Cut Features in the Make The Cut program Beta 3.0 version….. I think you’ll LOVE this program….I can’t say this enough!!!!!!

Then I decided to go ahead and work up a tutorial on how I did the Rhinestones….it worked REALLY well for me and I will definitely be using it a lot!!!!!……Did I say A LOT!!!  

So I have created 2 Rhinestone Flourish Patterns so far and I thought I would share them with you if anyone is interested………They are SO much fun to make!!!!

So….Have I got your appetite wetted yet!!! Can you BELIEVE how AMAZING this program is……I have been a die hard SCAL’r for almost 3 years…..and Todd has created an amazing program….But I  gotta tell you I am ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY over the moon THRILLED to pieces with the Make The Cut Beta 3.0……Andy is such a Rock Star!!!.I find it so so so so so easy to use!!!! The support for this program is AMAZING….the people are really eager to help you learn and their tutorial support is FANTASTIC!!!!!
