It's been a while.....

Hey everyone....I surely hope you've not given up on me.....I've just had daily life going on and I've not been posting....I did get a few things created for my boss as well as a swap for a group of mine that I'm quite happy with....just thought I would share them with you as well as what started out to be a baby blanket which turned into a baby wrap.........I do also have a couple of files I've created in making these items.........

To decorate the snowman after cutting him out....I used some of my Perfect Medium stamp pad and covered the body of the snowman then used some tinsel embossing powder and embossed with my heat gun...I used some black rhinestones for the buttons and  a 3D black ink for the  mouth and then used wiggly eyes....the carrot of course was part of the cut file.....I used some scrap ribbon and fibers for the scarfs....the arms were also part of the cut file and I covered them also with the Perfect Medium and then covered with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain and heat embossed......The hat I cut two of and layered them with foam dots to give them a bit of depth....I also covered the top and bottom layers with Perfect Medium pad and then coated with clear embossing powder and heat embossed to give the hat a glossy look.....

Here's the file I designed and created for the Snowman...

The Santa I used some pearlized chalk on the cheeks and nose to make them "rosey"  red marker for the lips and wire for the eye glasses that I used with one of my jewelry tools....the beard, pom pom and brim of the hat I took a cotton ball and tore apart and used glossy accents to glue down the cotton...I also used wiggly eyes...
Here's the revised version I did of the Santa...

I used several embossing sleeves with my Cuttlebug to give this stocking lots and lots of texture and used my Tim Holtz ink pads to hit the high spots of the embossed items.......used 3D paint to decorate the gingerbread man and also used embossing sleeves on the present also hit the high spots of the present with Tim Holtz ink pads....used a scrap piece of ribbon to make the tab on the stocking.....I've also glued some little bells on the the stocking parts that come to a point and on the tip of the stocking toe.....

Here's the file I designed and created for the Stocking...

Then here's the baby wrap I completed for a friend of ours....I started this about a year ago when they found out there were pregnant.....ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the baby's about 3 months old now!!! LOL...Can you say I was dragging my feet JUST A BIT!!! :(

Now here's a couple of other files I created from some requests I had received....hope you like them......

CEREAL BOX  FOR CARD SETS

HALF SCALLOP FRAME

Okie Dokie....Now the last item I'll share for tonight is a swap I'm in with my ARTHaven Creations & Friendships group....This is for a Christmas Swap we're working on and I needed to do a stocking......you CAN insert something inside the stocking so it is actually functional..........

Happy Monday...

Everyone...I hope you all had a great weekend!!! Mine was full but fun....My oldest son, Billy, came and spent the weekend with us and he and his brother had a great time together!! Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving at Craig's side of the family and I made from scratch pumpkin pies...they were very good even if I must say so myself!!! :)

I did get to do some ARTing this weekend....I completed one project I'd been working on for a while...it's a purse that I crocheted and lined.....I thought it turned out very nice.....

I do not use patterns...I just create from my imagination...it is very relaxing for me to sit and crochet...can definately lose track of time.....

I completed a swap for a wonderful group I'm in called craftycardcreators@yahoogroups.com....this these was called "Keep it Jolly"......here's what I came up with....

It's a fun card....I loved interchanging the bows on the packages....I printed all the designs and the rubberstamped embossed and cut out...I also made an accompanying envelope....I love the dimension of this card!!!!

Ok...lunch is over, back to work for me.....I want to thank you for stopping by again to visit!! I pray you all have a wonderful week and great Thanksgiving!!!! Until next time...

Happy Thursday.....

Hello all....I hope you all are having a wonderful Thursday....I was so aggravated last night as I kept trying and trying to share my creations and the internet was not cooperating for me.....SO....I decided to try once more this morning.....

Look at what I've taught myself....Treble Crochet.....It is so fun to do!!! I whipped up this scarf in just a matter of hours......I added some eyelet lace and buttons along the bottom edges and used some VERY soft off white fibers for the fringe!!! I will be making more of these and this one will be going in my store.....I've also included a close up so you can see the accents to the bottom better.....I love these colors together!!

The next item I wanted to share with you is the other scarf I finished a couple weeks back...this was double crochet......I waited until I could decide on what I wanted to do for the fringe....My high school colors (a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time ago..:) ) were scarlet & gray...I always loved these colors together so I decided that was a good choice....The gray fibers are super silky feeling as are the red ones.....I think it gave a nice full look to the fringe!!!

I also took a close up so you can see the fibers well here too!!!

Anyway, these are my creations for today...I'm in the process of completing an ATC swap for a group I'm in....I've completed my design...now just need to put together...which I will be doing when I get home today!!! Have I mentioned I'm having FUN!!! I love ART, love creating, and love playing with fibers and paper!!!

I also love the fact you decided to take time to stop by and visit with me again!!! I truly truly appreciate it and hope you will come back again soon!!! Take care...have a blessed day and I'll talk with you again soon!!!!

Good Morning Everyone....

I hope your week has started off well......Already Tuesday before a 3 day weekend!!! Yippie...and extra day to play in my ART Studio all day!! I always love the sound of that....didn't get to post over the weekend.....as I had a house full of people...My oldest, Billy, came and spent the night with us Saturday....and Dylan had his best friend over as well...lots of laughs and good times for sure!

Sunday we had to take Billy back home and deliver Dylan's best friend to his home then pick up Dylan's girlfriend, who came and spent the day with us.....we also had a birthday party to go to....of which I've posted a card I made for the birthday person below......

BUT, I DID get time to play in my ART Studio....I love love love playing with crayons!! I made the two sets of crayon papers and have placed them in my store...aren't they pretty!! I just love the marbelized affect.

Then I made up some aluminum die cuts and some of them I embossed to put in my store as well...here are a few of them that I did....I also made up some puzzle pieces, fleur de le's, ovals, square embossed accents, minature crosses, minitaure postage shaped and I'm sure there's something else I'm forgetting...but anyway you get the idea....

Then as I said earlier, we had a birthday party to go to on Sunday....it was for a boy...he loves horses...so I came up with this card......I love how it turned out and will probably make another for my store......I also made a matching envie which is displayed in the background!

Then, Lastly I finished a project I had been working on for a while....A crocheted purse! I just LOVE to crochet...to me it is so relaxing.......I had started this then took it all apart and started over cause I didn't like the effect of some other fibers I had placed in it before...this I like better...I added some yoyo's to the front with some nailhead brads.......I believe I too will be placing this in my store..though I must get a better picture of it as it is actually a bit more brown then what shows up here!!

So as you can see I did have some fun playing this past weekend......I've got so many ideas spinning around in my head....I must just sit down and put it on paper so I don't forget anything....I hope you enjoyed visiting with me this morning and I hope you come back soon.....Never know what I'll come up with next!! Until then, have a blessed day!!! Thanks again!
