Miss Earth 2009 title goes to Brazil

Brazil take Miss Earth contest title
Miss Brazil title holder Larissa Ramos has taken the overall title of Miss Earth contest title. The Brazilian beauty beat 80 other contestants from around the world to win the beauty pageant that was held this year at the Philippine beach resort of Boracay.
Runners up to the main tile were Miss Earth Fire - Alejandra Echevarria of Spain, 20, Miss Earth Air - Sandra Seifert of the Philippines, 25, and Miss Earth Water - Jessica Barboza of Venezuela.


The yearly contest is held to promote environmental responsibility and to raise awareness of global environment concerns.
