I've missed you Bubu! Romantic airport reunion for Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev

Kara Tointon enjoyed a romantic reunion with boyfriend Artem Chigvintsev in Los Angeles yesterday.

The ex-EastEnders actress, 27, rushed into her lover's arms and planted a big kiss on his lips as he met her at LAX airport arrivals.

With Artem, 28, back in the U.S. applying for a new visa to return to the UK, Kara has taken a break from her Pygmalion rehearsals to spend time with her long-distance lover.


Dressed casually in combat chinos and a leather jacket, Kara was joined by her younger sister, Inbetweeners actress Hannah Tointon, 23.

Artem got extra brownie points by presenting his girlfriend with a bunch of flowers.
Before getting on the flight, a clearly excited Kara Tweeted: 'Going to see my gorgeous man. Can't wait.'

After the Strictly Come Dancing tour wrapped last month, the couple haven't seen as much of each other as usual.

Long-distance love: Artem is currently in the U.S. waiting for his UK visa to be renewed


Kara spent five days trekking across Kenya to raise money for Comic Relief last month.

Writing on his Twitter last week, Artem said: 'It so nice to be back in LA the weather is just amazing but miss my Bubu and everyone in London...

'I am in LA at the moment and don't have my visa for UK just yet.'

With Artem away in the States, Kara attended Sunday night's Olivier Awards in London with her new co-star Rupert Everett.

Kara is set to play Eliza Dolittle to Rupert's Professor Higgins in Pygmalion, which will open at London's Garrick Theatre in May.

Seasoned thespian Rupert is already very impressed with Kara's work ethic during rehearsals.

He said on Sunday: 'I think she's a very good actress and she's a real worker, which coming from a very lazy person it's very impressive and she really works hard.

'She's great, I think she's fantastic. She's brilliant, I'm full of admiration for her. Plus she's beautiful as well.'
