Coming this summer to TV – actor Chris Klein!
Following two alcohol-related arrests, jail time and an extended stay in rehab, the actor has signed on to a multi-episode arc on the FX comedy Wilfred, his rep Jaime Primak tells PEOPLE.
Based on an Australian sitcom of the same name, the show stars Elijah Wood, who plays Ryan. Klein will play the love interest of Jenna, Ryan's neighbor, played by actress Fiona Gubelmann.
The show is set to premiere in June.
As for the actor's state of mind, a friend tells PEOPLE: "He's doing fantastic and is really excited to get back to work."
