Another Sunday.......

Happy Sunday Evening Everyone.....I do sincerely hope you've all enjoyed your day!!! It's been a rainy day here all day so it was a PERFECT day for me to spend in my ARTHaven...which is exactly what I did.....I needed to complete 3 swaps for my ARTHaven group and I need to still work on my prize for OWOH that starts tomorrow!!!  I successfully completed the swaps I needed and am quite happy with the results.....

While completing these swaps I did design and create a couple of new cut files....of which I will share below the post......as always, if you would like these files please click the below images and they will take you to the page on my website where you may download them.......

Ok, so are you ready.....here we go......This first swap title is ATC Love theme swap.......here's what I created.....

PDC ARTHaven Love ATC 1-21-2010 PDC ARTHaven Love ATC 1-21-2010 (3) PDC ARTHaven Love ATC 1-21-2010 (4)No cut files were designed for this one......I used some of my awesome K&C paper........and then used one of my Cuttlebug Edge Embossing sleeves and did the embossing along the left edge.....I also used the same sleeve and embossed the metallic red hearts....then used my Tim Holtz sanding block and sanded off the high spots and hit with some Distress Ink Walnut Stain.......I took a heart charm and a fan charm....poked a hole through the heart and then used a bead and some wire ran through each of the hearts and embellies to attach to the card......I distressed the edges of the ATC with some more of the Distress Ink Walnut Stain and then wrapped two colors of ribbon around the bottom section of the ATC and there you go....that's my creation for this swap......

The next swap theme was TAG Love Theme.........My inspiration for this was some white doilies by Wilson that you get at Wally World or just about anywhere.........Here's what I created and I'll give details below.....

PDC ARTHaven Tag Swap Love 1-24-2010 (4) PDC ARTHaven Tag Swap Love 1-24-2010 PDC ARTHaven Tag Swap Love 1-24-2010 (3)To create this I took the white doilies by Wilson and used some of my Dew Drop Versa Magic Chalk Ink in VG-53 Red Brick and colored the doilie totally.......once colored I then used my Distress Ink Walnut stain and went around the doilies and over the raised surfaces....then I coated with my Versamark pad and covered with clear embossing powder and heat embossed.........then ran through my Xyron to make into a sticker....I attached them to a layer of K&C paper cut to shape.......I had also distressed the edges with some of my Distress Ink Walnut Stain.......(I created the cut file for the Wilson Doilie 3.5 inch diameter).....I then joined two of the hearts together and then did Dynamic Offset to get the amount of shadow layer I wanted..........So if you any any doilles you would like to use this technique with the file will be below......

Once I had the doilies adhered to the decorative layer I set aside and took the background layer of brown paper and ran through my Cuttlebug and used the Swiss Dots embossing sleeve to emboss.......then took my sanding block and knocked off the brown from the dots then used my Distress Ink in Red Lipstick to hit the tops of the dots.......

Now for the small heart in the center I used some of my grunge board......traced out the inner parameter of the doilie onto the grunge paper and cut it out....I then took some more of the same decorative paper and glued it to the grunge board then took my distressing tool and distressed all around the heart then ran through my Cuttlebug and used the Swiss Dots embossing sleeve to emboss......then used my Distress Ink Walnut Stain to distress the edges and the dots......

Then I took some of the Grungeboard shapes......key, lock and Swirley.....covered the swirly with the Expresso Dauber and then coated with Walnut stain distress embossing powder and embossed......on the lock and key I used some Gold Dauber then coated with Walnut Stain Distress embossing powder and embossed......I deliberatly left some areas uncoated with embossing powder to give it a worn aged look....ran the lock through my Cuttlebug using the stone type embossing sleeve...then hit both the key and the lock with the Walnut Stain Distress ink......I placed the end of the key into the lock then used some foam dots, craft glue and brads to adhere the pieces on top each other.......then used foam dots to attach the small heart to the background doilie layer and then foam dots to adhere all that to the base brown layer....

I used eyelets at the top and the bottom using my Crop-A-Dial ran fibers and sheer ribbon on the top and took some wire and beads to attach to the bottom...Whola!!!! That's my tag!!!!  Do you like it????? I do!!!

Here's the cut file I designed and created if anyone is interested in it...

Wilson Doilie Heart 3 1-2 Dia Frame with Double Heart and Layer

PDC Wilson Doilie Heart 3 1-2 Dia Frame with Double Heart and Layer 1-24-2010Now.....Are you tired of reading yet???? LOL...Please bear with me!!!  The last swap I needed to complete is the CARD Love Theme......I decided I wanted to create a Doilie Card for this design using hearts........so I did indeed do just that.....here's my finished card....

PDC ARTHaven Love Swap Card 1-24-2010 PDC ARTHaven Love Swap Card 1-24-2010 (3) PDC ARTHaven Love Swap Card 1-24-2010 (4)Once I cut out all my layers....I ran the base decorative paper...which is OF COURSE K&C paper...LOL...and used my Swiss Dot Embossing sleeve through my Cuttlebug...then went over the dots and edges with my Walnut Stain Distress Ink Pad......took all the hearts to be layered on the Doilie part and ran through the swirly embossing sleeve with the Cuttlebug.....I then hit the high spots of them with the Distress Ink Lip Stick......used foam dots to adhere the hearts to the card......

I then used my SCAL and cut out the word Happy Valentines with I believe the Brush Script font and then moved each letter over and welded together to my liking.....I cut the words out on the tan cardstock but then took my distress foam pad and used a mixture of the Walnut Stain Ink and Worn Lipstick to color the words...so it has a bit of a blended look....then I coated the words with Versamark ink and coated with clear embossing powder and embossed.....

I then used some of my burlap type ribbon and wrapped around the top of the card and then glued my words to it.......I used a seafoam green type paper to line the inside of the card and then cut an accompanying envie to go with the card...Whola....this is complete!!! I love the impact of this card!!!!! I hope you do too.....IF you would like to have the cut file for this you can click the image below.........
