Another One down...

Yep.....Got another one completed!!! Yahooooo.....This is for a "Sympathy" Swap for one of the groups I belong to.....another of the ones I'm a wee bit late on...so it definately feels good to have this one completed!!! I wanted to do something a bit different on this...........So I designed some flowers in Inkscape.......and I then cute my flower cuts I created and cut fabric into these shapes....

Before I cut I lined the back of my fabric with wonder under to make the fabric a little more workable....Once cut I then cut another layer of the flowers in cardstock...I then ironed the flowers to the cardstock layer I cut which gave the flowers a bit more stability.......The leaves I did not layer the back........I had a white with yellow fabric that I decided to use........I then used my Stazon Ink Pads in Purple and in Green to stamp the swirls......and the phrase.....The reason I used the Stazon on Ink is because it is a permanent ink....After I stamped the fabric I then took some Tim Holtz distress ink and one of my foam dusters by Tim Holts and kissed the edges of the fabric with the green inkpad.......

Once that was completed I did the same with the flowers.......I then ironed the leaves to the background layer.......used rhinestones in the flower...I used the yellow layer and the floral flowers together and put a raised dot on the back of the flower to pop it up off the card.......I did run a ribbon and through the top layer so that it looks as if it is wrapped around the bouquet of flowers I created.....I then put some decorative corners on the card and attached my flowers on the cardfront.....

I am very pleased the way the card came out and it felt good to use a wee bit of a different medium.......Just trying to do something a little out of my box.....Ok....Here's the flowers, the leaves and the envelope template I created in Inkscape.....If you would like any of these files either click on the image or at the designated link to download these files!!!! Oh yeah....and I did deliberately give some of the flowers a "rough" looking edges to them I thought this would add to the look of the file....
