Happy Monday....

Everyone....I hope you all had a WONDERFUL day!!!! I had some fun playing with paper last night and tonight.....I'm working on the swaps I owe some wonderful ladies in a Yahoo group I belong to.....they've been patiently waiting and I so appreciate them!!!!

So this card is for the "Happy Day" swap....I incorporated an image and my cricut and created a pretty nice 3D type card......I'm attaching the image as well as the cut files I've created for this image.....If you are interested in this please feel free to download.....I will tell you there are 3 seperate layers that are actually cut files.....the birdhouse......the tree trunk and flowers and the flowers.....You'll need to close the eyes on all layers except for the current layer you want to cut do Path>Object to Path and the save the file......you will then go and import it in SCAL....I have my default page set at 12x12 so you'll need to set your properties to the following:

X = 0.0 / Y= 0.0 / W=12.0 / H=12.0 check the "Keep Proportions" settings....

Also.....there is a layer that has the "cut" section of the exact dimension of the image....you will need to place a piece of paper on your cutting mat.......cut that layer.....once that is cut removed the rectangle that was cut and replace that with one of the images......then you're good to go on your cutting......In case you might be a bit confused what I'm trying to explain here....there is an AMAZING video that will help you TREMENDOUSLY...... Here's the files.....you can either click the images shown below or the designated area to download the files......I hope you might like them....I also created my own envelope template to cut...this one is for the card I just created which ended up being 5x6 completed........you can see the envelope propped up behind the card in the picture above.......I have always made my own envelopes to compliment each card I create....I just think it finishes the card......so now I design my own in Inkscape to fit exactly the card I'm creating........Hopefully some of you might find this template of some use!!!
